Hi, I may need a good lawyer but do not have money to pay for one right now. I paid of for my car last year and then my children’s father stole the ownership transferred it to his name then to his girlfriends name without paying for it. I reported it to the police nothing came of it. I found the ownership placed the car back in my name they file a report the police show up at my door with tickets charging me for fraud. they still have the car hiding I have two keys for the car all I want is my $9000 for the car. I have so much paper work regarding this car that anyone with even just a little bit of sense will no that I am not lying. I am raising our three children alone he does not support our children or even speak to them but helps her with hers can anyone give me some good advice. Thanks in advance
First, it sounds like you need a good lawyer.
Second, I don’t understand how he could steal "ownership." Did he forge your name on a bill of sale? Did he steal the title from you? Or was his name on the title for a loan that you were paying off?
